MUSIC & STORYTELLING

The entertainment for the evening will begin after the break for dinner. This will be kicked off by our guest performer by the open fire pit. If the weather is too bad for this to happen outside it will take place in the Chalet instead.

We encourage musicians to bring along their instruments, dancers bring their feet and storytellers or singers to bring their voices! Participation is part of the Irish tradition and as the night moves on we hope this will develop into a proper session.

Alcohol is permitted at this evening event, however none will be on sale (bring your own) and we ask that you drink sensibly.

Dave Fadden Dave plays both the uilleann pipes and whistles in traditional music circles and has travelled the world with various groups and dancers, most recently at a festival of Irish music hosted in Corsica, France. He also composes new music much of which can be accessed on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/piobairedfad1 One of his compositions, based on some of the music of Rachmaninov, was premiered in the National Concert Hall in 2014. In more recent years he has taken up the saxophone and is a member of a group, Síol, whose new CD features his playing and compositions.
